Innovative Upgrades to Vea Analytics Software for Environmental Sensors

YOUNGSTOWN OH, October 15, 2009 – SenSource anticipates the launch of two new software additions, Vea Web Portal and Virtual Sensor Server for the fourth quarter of 2009. SenSource's current Vea Software provides a complete reporting solution. These new features provide innovative and increased access to the current software.
The first feature, Vea Web Module provides Vea Software access online. Users will no longer be confined to an office computer to view reports and sensor data. It can be accessed while on a business trip, out to lunch, or anywhere with Internet access. For reporting and client use, the software application is supported across different platforms. A web interface portal is used to access the program rather than downloading the complete program on every computer. No additional downloads or installations are necessary, saving hardware space.
A second upcoming feature is the Virtual Sensor Server. The Virtual Server is a software application installed on an existing computer/network using an existing network connection. Connecting will be quicker than the traditional connection process as no additional hardware is needed and it requires less configuration time. The only required pieces of hardware at the facility are environmental sensors. Less hardware connections decrease battery consumption and energy usage.
Vea Software is completely customizable to meet users' needs. Vea produces near real-time data and alerts to monitor all sensor activity. The software's dashboard is configurable to display data in the most convenient manner. A simple "drag and drop" feature allows sensors to be prioritized. Administrators can control access to data by allowing certain departments' access to certain sensors.
Using Vea Software, environmental sensor information is viewed in a customizable manner to best fit the client's preferences. The colors of the dashboard can be selected and changed and there are numerous chart options like bar graphs, line graphs and pie charts. The range of high and low temperatures can be set and assigned a specific color to each so that out of range temperatures are highlighted.
